Rachel Shorer writes and performs as a way to channel her tendency to overshare about her personal life and rant about stuff like feminism and culture. She's currently editing a first novel, The Peaceweaver's Wordhoard, which is a retelling of Beowulf from a female perspective. In 2018 she toured her spoken word show 10 Mistakes Every Girls Makes in Her Twenties around living rooms in South East England. She's been one of New Writing South's Writers' Place Poets, a contributer to Stand Up and Slam, and Poets vs MCs, received funding from Arts Council England and a New Buds Busary. She graduated from Bath Spa's Creative Writing MA with a distinction, and is a little worried that mentioning all this might sound a bit braggy.
